WISE was founded in 1978 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since then, it has supported grassroot groups and individuals to effectively oppose nuclear power. WISE seeks to counter nuclear power through the organisation of campaigns, building networks, lobbying and knowledge production (publications).
