As a student-run think tank established in 2012, York Student Think Tank's mission is to promote an evidence-based approach to policy for students at the University of York. Through its policy projects and Civitas journal, it provides students with opportunities to explore issues requiring public policy attention. It was awarded OTT’s ‘Building for the Future’ grant for 2023–2024, enabling the think tank to host a diverse range of speaker events.
