You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple enquiries and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness. We pride ourselves on customer service and your role is a key part of this. You\u2019ll often be the first point of contact for clients, so enthusiasm for what we do is important. Previous experience in a design or communications background is desirable but not essential.<\/p>\n<h2>Key responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as a point of contact to clients, handling incoming calls and emails about design work.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with clients, either through direct contact or in support of the clients\u2019 needs, based on quality, customer service and project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Taking creative and production briefs from clients, producing accurate and timely quotes and timelines and providing advice where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining approval from clients of costs and turnaround times, ensuring jobs are booked into the project management system.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring studio performance against approved quotes.<\/li>\n<li>Updating project plans and communicating changes in scope, costs and timings when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with monitoring resourcing needs and organising freelance support when required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring clear briefs, including print specs and client information, are passed on to the designer\/project manager on every new job.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the improvement and communication of internal agency processes and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Providing supplementary administrative support to the operations and design team as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Person specification<\/h2>\n<p>Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on own initiative within the parameters of the role.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility and an ability to adapt to an organisation\u2019s ways of working.<\/li>\n<li>High standards of written and verbal communication.<\/li>\n<li>Close attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in a client-facing role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate degree or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of or experience in graphic design.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of or experience in the policy, research, or charity sectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Start date<\/strong>: ASAP<br \/>\n<strong>Salary<\/strong>: \u00a329,000 &#8211; \u00a333,000 depending on experience<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soapbox is a creative communications agency that helps think tanks, academic institutions and research-oriented NGOs to present their ideas \u2013 in words and images, in print and online.
