New and young think tanks play an important role in devising innovative and evidence-informed solutions to the complex challenges facing the world today. But, as young and emerging organisations, there is a lot to think about. Where and how to start? How to fundraise? How to budget for operating costs? How much weight to give to research versus communications or management?
This open session is designed for new and young think tanks to reflect on and define the steps they need to grow sustainably and deliver impact. It draws on the Build a think tank guide – a resource aimed at equipping and empowering policy entrepreneurs to develop their organisations along the models that best fit their circumstances and objectives. The session will be led by Andrea Baertl, Research and Learning Director at OTT and is open to all.
