The position
Our successful candidate will join Nesta’s rapidly growing community of data scientists and analysts, who meet regularly to discuss their work and explore opportunities to advance Nesta’s mission through data analytics.
Key roles and responsibilities
Working closely with the Executive Director for Creative Economy and Data Analytics, you will analyse relevant data using data science methods, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning, network analysis and natural language processing techniques.
Experience and skills
You will hold a PhD qualification in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. data science, computer science, statistics, econometrics or operations research), although candidates with an excellent Master’s degree in a relevant subject will be considered if they also have relevant professional experience. You will have strong quantitative data processing and analysis skills, plus demonstrable expertise in data science-relevant programming languages, specifically Python or R.
