The Innovation for Indonesia’s School Children (INOVASI) program is currently seeking a motivated senior level professional to take up an exciting and rewarding leadership opportunity.

Funded by the Australian Government in partnership with the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), INOVASI is an AUD49 million education program running from 2016 – 2019. INOVASI works to understand and tackle learning challenges, particularly those related to literacy and numeracy in classrooms and schools across Indonesia. Working with teachers, principals and local officials, the program identifies what problems need to be solved to enhance student learning outcomes. It seeks ways to solve these problems by jointly piloting either (i) local solutions or (ii) practices successfully trialled elsewhere which are adapted to the local context.

INOVASI is managed by Palladium on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

The role will work to establish and implement a programmatic vision that is aligned with DFAT objectives and priorities and grounded in the political and institutional reality of Indonesia. • Over 15 years of professional experience leading complex development programs and effective cross-cultural teams; and
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of education systems with a similar context to Indonesia.
