Nesta is a global innovation foundation. We back new ideas to tackle the big challenges of our time. From mapping the organisations and projects across Europe using technology to tackle social challenges to carrying out research into the barriers facing the growth of DSI in Europe, Nesta has been involved in the field of digital social innovation (DSI) since 2014. Through our work, we have held numerous events across Europe, influenced policy and developed high-quality learning resources and content. We are now considered as one of the authorities on the topic in Europe.
The position
The main activities undertaken by the project will include facilitating new connections, creating a series of peer learning events and other activities to support DSI in specific social areas, futures research and work to influence DSI policy.
Key roles and responsibilities
Acting as the interface between the European Commission, the project’s steering committee, project partner organisations and third parties, your focus will be carrying out high quality project management (3 days a week) as well as creative and content-related tasks such as communications, research and events (2 days a week).
Experience and skills
A highly organised and innovative individual, you will have expertise in managing EU-funded projects, with experience of delivering Horizon 2020 projects related to technology or social innovation particularly valuable. Used to working in a fast-paced environment, you will have successfully met contract compliance requirements and managed financial and human resources. You will be comfortable working across a range of subject and policy areas related to technology innovation and social policy and be passionate about the positive impact this can make.
