Founty Fall

Consultant

Founty is a Senegalese economist researcher, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at UCAD in Dakar, in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences. Her research interests primarily focus on issues related to female entrepreneurship, access to credit, and firm productivity in Senegal. With experience in research, project management, and coordination at the Consortium for Economic and Social Research (CRES), she has contributed to agrarian research and evaluated agricultural programmes, such as the West African Agricultural Productivity Programs (WAAPP), National Agency for Agricultural Integration and Development (ANIDA), and Agricultural Policy Support Project (PAPA). Her passion for the agricultural sector has driven her to pursue her doctoral thesis on an impact assessment of the dissemination of NICTs for fruit fly control in the mango sector in Senegal. Founty has also been involved in research-action initiatives aimed at reducing tobacco use in West Africa through tax reforms and contributed to gender-responsive budgeting in Senegal. Founty is a proud member of the On Think Tanks Fellowship cohort of 2018 and supports young entrepreneurs, particularly women, in formalising their businesses and accessing credit.
