In this episode of OTT TV we talk with Josh Burek of the Belfer Center at Harvard about the importance of thinking through ones audience before publishing a report targeted at policymakers – about thinking through the demand side for research. He suggests three key questions all researchers should keep in mind when writing policy-relevant reports: Why does this matter? Who should care? And what should they do about it? He focuses on a report on preventing nuclear terrorism and how they approached getting political buy-in for the report among US congresspeople.
