The Institute for Government is currently inviting applications for a Head of Communications starting as soon as possible. This role is an opportunity to work in a highly regarded think tank at the heart of Westminster. It is a great chance for an experienced communications professional to join a friendly and busy team.
The Head of Communications will help the IfG achieve its communications objective of being seen as the ‘go-to place’ on issues relating to the effective working of government. They will help develop and deliver a communication plan that will enhance the IfG’s reputation as a world-leading voice and expert in effective government.
The successful candidate will be an experienced media operator with a track record of getting their organisation’s voice heard in the competitive and unpredictable Westminster environment; be able to advise on timing of events and publications to maximise coverage; demonstrate an ability to think strategically across communications channels and across our outputs; and be able to write to a high standard on politically sensitive issues.
