The role
We are searching for a Marketing Assistant to join the Department of Communications and Publishing to support the promotion of International Affairs, a leading journal of international relations research.
Key role and responsibilities
Marketing & Communications:
- Crafting and posting content for IA social media channels
- Events administration
- CRM administration and email marketing
- Monitoring and evaluation of marketing channels (social media, email, podcast stats, Altmetrics)
Editorial:
- Providing support to the IA Editorial and International Advisory Boards
- Liaising with the journal’s publisher, Oxford University Press
- Coordinating office supplies
- Post-handling, including distribution of copies to authors (once we return to the office)
- Booking rooms and arranging catering for events held at Chatham House
Experience and skills
- Good general knowledge of and an interest in international affairs
- Experience of working with social media
- Outstanding attention to detail with an organised approach to work and ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Able to form good working relationships with a wide range of people at all levels internally and externally
- Computer-literate with experience of CRM databases and Microsoft Office products (training will be provided)
