Shahira Emara

Shahira Emara is a specialist in policy influence and programme and fund management based in the Middle East. She has over 22 years of experience working for international development agencies. This has involved bilateral and multilateral interdependencies across the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.Shahira’s core experience lies in managing strategic partnerships, senior relationships, and conducting research communication to inform policy. She served as the Head of the Newton Mosharafa Fund in Egypt and previously held the position of Knowledge Services Manager at the Global Development Network prior to 2014. Shahira holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Hult International Business School in London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Cairo University. She also possesses a diploma in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning from the American University in Cairo, School of Continuing Education.
