CEPAN is a private non-profit institution founded in 2000 by professors-researchers and postgraduate students of the Federal University of Pernambuco-UFPE whose mission is to generate and disseminate strategic solutions for the conservation of biodiversity through science, human resources training, and dialogue with society. Our institution is based in the city of Recife, in Pernambuco state (Brazil’s Northeast Region), with a branch in the state of Minas Gerais (Southeast Region). CEPAN develops projects throughout all Brazilian territory.
