FIMA is an NGO, nonprofit, and the first and most important environmental legal study of public interest in the country. Since 1998, FIMA has worked to be a significant contribution to policy, legislation and access to environmental justice in Chile. FIMA has total independence from any governmental or political party organism, which gives them sufficient autonomy to be able to defend environmental cases without pressures of any kind.
