Social Forum of External Debt and Development of Honduras (FOSDEH), was born in 1995, at the initiative of the Association of Non-Governmental Organizations of Honduras (ASONOG), as an effort by Civil Society to address the issue of external debt and its repercussions in the country, such as the impact on sustainable development. In order to contribute to the construction of public policies aimed at national transformation based on social justice, equality, solidarity, respect for human rights, and with democratic legitimacy (Mission); FOSDEH has as a vision a society; with equity, freedom, justice, informed, critical, supportive, respectful of human rights and with participatory public policies that positively impact people. It has gained credibility for its technical-analytical capacity; Due to its proposals based on scientific research, independence of political parties (or of political interest), with economic independence, influencing the issues of public debt, fiscal and economic policies, with a social perspective towards sustainable development for Honduras.
