The José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation (FOM) is a private non-profit institution, inspired by the liberal spirit and intellectual legacy of its owners, as well as the relevance they both had to the society of their time. Born in 2010 as a result of the merger of the José Ortega y Gasset Foundation, founded by Soledad Ortega Spottorno,daughter of the philosopher, and the Gregorio Marañón Foundation (incorporated in 1978 and 1988, respectively) her work is aimed at promoting culture, training, debate and research in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities and Health Sciences. The Ortega Marañón Foundation has as its mission to promote culture, training, debate and research in the field of Social Sciences, Humanities and Health Sciences, maintaining the modernizing and liberal critical spirit of its holders: José Ortega y Gasset and Gregorio Marañón y Posadillo.
