GEC is a non-profit NGO, established in 1998 to address key environmental issues. GEC is based in Malaysia and supports activities worldwide. It is focused on bringing together all parties, individuals, communities, corporations and other like-minded organizations to help foster lasting change for environmental benefits. The ultimate dream of GEC is to be able to play an integral role in shaping the future and delivering a future that will sustain. It has been a strong voice for the environment through a series of core programs: Forest and Biodiversity Programme, Peatland Programme, River Care Programme, Outreach and Partnership Programme.
