Insa is a research unit that is part of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and has as its mission the feasibility of interinstitutional solutions in research, training and diffusion of C, T & I based on the socioeconomic and environmental potential of the region, subsidizing formulation of public policies for sustainable coexistence with the Brazilian semi-arid region.
