The BC3 is a Research Centre based in the Basque Country which aims to contribute to long term research on the causes and consequences of climate change in order to foster the creation of knowledge in this multidisciplinary science. The BC3 seeks to prepare a highly-qualified team of researchers with the primary objective of achieving excellence in research, training and dissemination. One of the main objectives of the Basque Environmental Strategy for Sustainable Development is to promote research that contributes to sustainability, and to develop into a worldwide benchmark research centre made up of key international researchers in climate change renowned for their excellence in long term research, with permanent links and shared projects with other initiatives around the world. The BC3's goal is to act as an active knowledge dissemination agent supporting innovation and structural changes in the Basque Country and the whole world.
