Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research

NISER is a policy think tank established by the Nigerian Government to conduct research in the area of social, economic and development issues. NISER’s mission is to ‘consistently generate credible knowledge through quality research, conduct specialized training and consultancy services while interacting with relevant segments of the Nigerian society in the task of national development’. The institute conducts research into the economic and social problems of the country with a view to the application of the results thereof and provide consultancy services to Federal and State Governments, their agencies and other organisations, in the field of economic and social development.
