Science and Technology Policy Research Information Center

STIC is commissioned to promote science and technology research and development by facilitating the dissemination of scientific and technical information across Taiwan and throughout the world. In response to swift changes in society and an expanding demand in the scientific domain, STIC has led the way in forming a more integrated infrastructure of technical information resources over the past 30 years. STIC's achievements include not only the integration of national information resources and the introduction of international information resources but also the initiation of consortia and partnerships with both domestic and international associates. STIC has recently undergone restructuring and expanded its services from an information provider towards a think tank by conducting in-depth innovation research, value-added analyses, statistical surveys, and information technology management. To lay a solid foundation for the information society in a knowledge-based era, STIC is committed to supporting and stimulating the scientific and technical development associated with entities at home and abroad so as to accelerate Taiwan's international competi-tiveness.
