The Anhui Academy of Social Sciences is a public institution directly under the Anhui Provincial Government. It is an academic institution in philosophy and social science research, a specialized agency engaged in strategic decision-making consultations on economics and social development. It is a think tank for the provincial party committee and government. It has 16 research centers, ranging in topics from tourism to social development. In addition, AASS publishes the Jianghuai Forum Magazine.
