CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research ‒ CASE
Warsaw, Poland

CASE focuses on the transition process in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Transcaucasus, and Central Asia; European integration; and the global economy. An important regional center, CASE replicates its knowledge and experience through the creation of daughter organizations, thus helping to create a network of independent research institutes across postcommunist countries. CASE is also a cofounder of a regional network of think tanks and other organizations. CASE's activities focus on conducting policy research and advisory projects, disseminating research results and economic knowledge, providing public education, and training. Advisory activities cover the following areas: complex economic advisory projects, short-term advisory missions, technical assistance, and evaluation projects. CASE also organizes workshops, seminars, and study tours, and its interdisciplinary projects, which take theoretical problems and propose concrete solutions in the areas of economic and social policy and are aimed at actual practitioners, forming the unique character of its research work.
