The Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) is a social sciences research centre that specializes in independent, pluralistic and interdisciplinary study of Peru and Latin America. Through its research and dissemination of social studies of Peru and other Latin American countries, it aims to contribute to equitable economic development, the strengthening of democratic institutions and recognition of the richness of cultural diversity. It seeks to identify obstacles to the sustainable development of Peruvian society and propose mechanisms for overcoming them.
