IIASA finds solutions to today's most pressing global issues, like climate change, energy security, and population ageing. By providing policy makers with the information to make evidence-based decisions in these areas, IIASA helps to improve human and social wellbeing and protect the environment. It has also been a leading contributor to the development and refinement of assessment and decision-support methodologies, global databases, and analytical tools for 30 years.IIASA is both international and nongovernmental, being funded by scientific institutions in 23 countries.
