The Taiwan Women’s Movements was established in 1997 to serve as an umbrella institute of the women’s organizations in Taiwan that promote women’s rights and gender equality. The organization aims to enhance the connection and communication between the local and international women’s organizations in order to promote collaboration and participation in international dialogues. At the local level, the organization aims to promote and implement policies concerning women’s rights and gender issues to ensure compliance with the international society.
