OTT provides ongoing, flexible and tailored research support to the Gates Foundation's Development Policy and Finance team.

Now in its third phase, OTT’s research support service offers both on-demand and proactive support:

  • responding to new requests for policy research and analysis
  • undertaking ongoing monitoring and scanning of the issues of interest to the team
  • maintaining and nurturing relationships with relevant think tanks and their experts
  • drawing from a pool of skills and expertise to support additional research requests as required.

Dates

Phase 1: September 2020 – June 2021

Phase 2: August 2021 – January 2023

Phase 3: February 2023 – January 2024

Funder and budget

Funding is provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

Phase 1 (9 months): Total budget is USD 199,800 in fees

Phase 2 (18 months): Total budget is USD 373,125 in fees

Phase 3 (12 months): Total budget is USD 310,000 in fees
