Alina Orrico

Alina Orrico has twelve years of experience assisting development agencies, financial institutions, diplomatic missions, IOs (UN/UNESCO), regional organisations, private philanthropy, and companies from the private sector. She has designed and implemented resource mobilisation strategies and international cooperation projects in all stages, including bidding processes, project design, budget timelines, monitoring and evaluation actions, and communication/visibility strategies. Alina has also been involved in fostering partnerships and outreach actions, such as event organisation, with a broad range of stakeholders from different regions (ALC, ACP, Middle East, Europe). Alina offers solid on-field experience and has a deep understanding of Brussels. She is well-versed in the structures of the European Union, the priorities of the European Commission, and the procedures under the new NDICI/Global Europe and Global Gateway Strategy. Alina has worked closely with the European Commission services and MSOs on delegated cooperation projects, including coordination among technical and financial cooperation actors with the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI) and the Practitioners’ Network. She also provides guidance on processes that lead to better donor coordination (joint programming and joint implementation under Team Europe) in different EU-partner country contexts.
